| Ralph Brody is currently Associate Professor of Social Work at Cleveland State University (CSU). He holds a Doctorate in Social Policy from Case Western Reserve University and has thirty years experience in health and human services. For fifteen years prior to coming to CSU, he was the Executive Director for the Federation for Community Planning. He has been a director of job training programs, multi-service centers, a United Way allocations study, and an associate director of a university urban institute. He has provided consultation or training to more than thirty community agencies, including agencies in Kenya, Spain, and the People's Republic of China. Dr. Brody has been widely published, covering such topics as planned giving, welfare and work, human service systems, reviewing program effectiveness, case management, community problem solving, the legislative process, and human service management. His latest books are Effectively Managing Human Service Organizations and Macro Practice: A Generalist Approach, Fifth Edition, co-authored by Dr. Murali Nair, and published by Gregory Publishing Company. |

| Murali D. Nair is a Professor of Social Work at Cleveland State University in Ohio. He has twenty-two years of practice and teaching experience in the Macro Social Work field. He received his Doctorate in Macro Social Work from Columbia University. He has written and presented more than one hundred articles, papers, monographs, and books on Macro practice in professional journals and book chapters, at national and international conferences, and at other organizations. He is a consultant to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on Resident Initiative Programs and conducts Social Work Licensure Examination Review Courses at universities across the country. The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors recently appointed him as the co-chair of their research committee. |
